Excellent staff and top notch facility. Friendly and helpful managment who spoke English which helped immensely as we spoke little French and no Arabic.
The Riad serves meals in the courtyard and our room was at that level. The noise echoes across floors and walls due to their tile and plaster makeup and sound travels easily through doorways and windows. A particularly noisy group was seated at 10:30 p.m. our first evening and woke us three times before breaking up past midnight. As we had been awake for 30 hours this was very aggravating and I was surprised that management allowed this. I was appalled when several nights later the same party began their meal at 9:30 p.m., but they were not as bothersome and finished their meal earlier.
We realy had a good stay at this Riad. We had travelled som time and been to differnt riads in Marokko. So we had learned to not eat dinner at the riad. Usually they are very small and you have to eat a lot of different menys to feel satisfied. we found a place by the see with good food, but the riad said that there was no place to eat near by and that all was closed at 7:30. It is not. They open at 20:00. Otherwise we really liked Kalaa and Rabat. Should we ever go back to Marokko, this is the place to stay and the city is the place to visit.
They should be more helpfull regarding the possibility to eat elsewere. I understand the economic aspekt, but travellers that cannot spend so much mony on gourmet food and still end up starving, is going to find some other places to eat. With help from the riad I´m sure thay will get more goodwill.
The staff was very nice and helpful with all requests.
Lovely room and pool. Nice decor and facilities.
Seemed to us that they double booked us. Although we booked months in advance, we still did not get the room we asked for and another couple, that arrived the same time, got that room.
Beautiful Riad. Great place to relax.
We considered price for meals / coffee to be high for Morocco. We elected not to have dinner there for that reason.
I thought the place was very nice, it felt like the real Morocco.
It was quite difficult to find, very nice once we did manage to find though.
Very clean, little small touches in the Nomande suite were excellent, the bathroom is first class
Not enough Arabic channels, location
friendly staff, especially to our arrivalthey organized a Russian speaking employee (after check-in, we did not saw him), every day the staff lighted the candles and incense in the room, a traditional Moroccan design, large room, big comfortable bath, seems it is a good restaurant in Riad, people who did not live here came almost every evening for dinner
1) parking was outside the medina (about 300 meters, inside the medina there was no parking), 2) every time after cleaning all the windows were opened for ventilation, and when we returned to the room there was very cold, 3) the pool was not heated up as promised and the water was very cold, we did not swam because of this
A lovely oasis in the Medina. Public areas are lovely. If I were staying for more than a day, I would upgrade to the larger rooms. Excellent showers.
Room would be a little small for an extended stay.
The staff were very helpfull and knowledgeable.
It was just as we had imagined - an ornate doorway in a white-washed wall in a small narrow street (too narrow for cars) opening into a lavish courtyard with fountain and plants and beautiful Moroccan mosaics. The suite was romantic (if somewhat small) - on two levels and felt very luxurious. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent!
All rooms open out into the courtyard, which is also where dinner is served, so it was quite noisy from the other guests in the evening. And we would have preferred Moroccan music to the Brazilian Jazz that was played until quite late.
Good breakfast. Original Marokkans decor. Overall a good hotel.
Very very difficult to find the hotel in Medina. The bed is not long enough. Breakfast is served over from pm. 7.30. 5% surcharge if paying by credit card.
The most elegant riad we visited during our two weeks in Morocco. The building is superbly restored, the rooms are charming and comfortable, the staff is kind and helpful. We would have loved to stay a week and hope to come back to visit next year. I recommend this riad without hesitation.
The staff was kind and helpful.. The pool on the rooftop terrace was beautiful. The room , although small was cute
The shower leaked all over the floor
all ! the riad is wonderful, staff is great and location is excellent
might be a bit less costly
